Read-only access — we can't touch your inbox
We request only Google's gmail.readonly scope. We can read the school-related emails you approve — but we physically cannot send, modify, or delete anything.
We never see your password
You sign in with Google (OAuth) — we never receive, store, or have access to your password. You can revoke HappyParent's access from your Google account at any time.
Encrypted at rest and in transit
Your data lives on Google Cloud, encrypted in transit and at rest (AES-256). OAuth tokens are stored encrypted, and we don't keep raw email content longer than needed to build your plan.
Never sold, never used for ads
We do not sell your data, share your email content, or use it for advertising — ever. You're the customer, not the product.
No human reads your email
AI extracts only the dates, deadlines, and action items from school and sports emails. Your content is never used to train general-purpose AI models, and no one at HappyParent reads your email — except the rare cases required for security, legal compliance, or with your explicit consent.
Least privilege, reviewed regularly
We use least-privilege access controls and regularly review our security posture. Our use of Gmail data follows Google's API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You're always in control
Connect or disconnect your email anytime. Export a full copy of your data whenever you want, and deleting your account removes your data from our systems within 30 days. For the full details, read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
